How Much Does a Website Cost in Pakistan? (2026 Guide)

OS Prime Studios graphic of a custom business website shown on a desktop screen

A website in Pakistan typically costs around PKR 25,000 to 80,000 for a basic 3 to 5 page business site, PKR 80,000 to 200,000 or more for a larger custom-designed site, and from about PKR 60,000 to several lakh for an online store, based on public price guides from Pakistani web providers. On top of the build, expect yearly running costs for the domain, hosting and maintenance.

These figures are market ranges, not a price list. Two websites with the same number of pages can differ three times in effort, depending on design, content and features. This guide explains where the money goes, what the fixed running costs are, and how to get a quote you can compare fairly. For our own quotes, see our web design service in Bahria Town. We price each project after a short scoping call.

Website cost in Pakistan by type of website

Published price guides from Pakistani providers, reviewed in September 2026, put most projects in these bands. Treat them as a starting point for budgeting, because every provider draws the lines differently.

Type of websiteTypical market rangeWhat it usually includes
Basic business websitePKR 25,000 to 80,0003 to 5 pages, a ready-made theme, contact form, mobile layout
Professional business websitePKR 80,000 to 200,000+10 to 15 pages, custom design, service pages, basic SEO setup
Ecommerce storePKR 60,000 to several lakhProduct catalogue, cart, payment gateway, order management
Custom web applicationPKR 100,000 to 500,000+Booking systems, portals, dashboards built for one business

The wide ecommerce band is real. A small store on a hosted platform with 30 products is a very different job from a custom store with thousands of products, stock sync and courier integration.

What are the yearly running costs of a website in Pakistan?

The yearly running costs of a website in Pakistan are the domain, hosting, security certificate and maintenance. Some of these are fixed by the provider and easy to check:

CostWhat it costsNotes
.pk domainRs 2,100 per year at the registryPKNIC raised the price from Rs 1,800 on 1 August 2026 and registers .pk domains for 2 years at a time. Registrars add their own margin.
HostingAbout PKR 5,000 to 100,000 per yearShared hosting sits at the low end. Busy stores and web apps need more.
SSL certificateOften freeMost hosts include a free certificate. Paid ones are only needed in special cases.
MaintenanceAbout PKR 1,500 to 10,000 per monthUpdates, backups, security checks and small edits.
Shopify plan (if used)From $19 per month billed yearly, or $25 monthlyBasic plan in USD. Shopify adds a 2% fee on Basic when you use a third-party payment provider.

For online stores, add payment gateway fees. Pakistani gateways and wallets such as JazzCash, Easypaisa, Safepay and PayFast charge a percentage per transaction. Check their current rates before choosing, because they change and they eat directly into your margin.

What makes a website more or less expensive?

The price of a website depends mostly on how much has to be designed, written and connected. These factors move a quote the most:

  • Number of pages. Each service or location page needs its own layout and content.
  • Custom design or template. A ready-made theme is faster. A design made for your brand takes more hours.
  • Who writes the content. Copywriting is often the hidden cost. Pages written for search take research, not just typing.
  • Ecommerce features. Product count, variants, stock, delivery charges and courier links all add work.
  • Integrations. WhatsApp buttons are simple. Booking systems, CRMs or a WhatsApp AI agent take longer.
  • Urdu and English. A second language roughly doubles the content work.
  • Speed and SEO setup. A site built to load fast on mobile data and rank on Google needs more care than one built only to look good.

Freelancer, agency or website builder: what’s the difference in cost?

A website builder like Wix or Shopify costs the least to start, but you pay a monthly fee for as long as the site runs, and you do the setup yourself. A freelancer usually costs less than an agency for the same pages and suits a clear, small project. An agency usually costs more because design, development, content and SEO come from one team, and there is someone to call when something breaks after launch.

The cheapest option up front is not always the cheapest over three years. A site that has to be rebuilt after 12 months because it is slow, hard to edit or invisible on Google costs more in the end than one built properly once.

Hidden costs to ask about before you sign

  • Domain and hosting renewal prices, not just the first year.
  • Paid theme or plugin licences that renew every year.
  • Who owns the domain, hosting account and design files.
  • Product photos and written content, if you are not supplying them.
  • How many rounds of changes are included.
  • What support costs after launch.

How to get an accurate website quote in Pakistan

You get a quote you can compare when every provider prices the same scope. Before you ask, write down:

  1. The pages you need, one line each.
  2. Two or three websites you like, and why.
  3. Whether you will supply the text and photos.
  4. Features: forms, WhatsApp chat, booking, online payments, Urdu.
  5. Whether you want the site to rank on Google, and for which services and areas.

Send the same list to each provider and compare what is included, not just the total. If ranking on Google matters, ask how the site will be set up for SEO. Our pages on SEO services in Rawalpindi and SEO services in Islamabad explain what that involves.

How OS Prime Studios prices websites

OS Prime Studios does not publish a fixed price list, because the same page count can mean very different work. We start with a short scoping call on WhatsApp or at our office in Phase 7, Bahria Town, then send a written quote that lists every page, feature and running cost, including who owns the domain and hosting. See the website design portfolio for live sites we have built, or visit our web design and web apps page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to get a website in Pakistan?+
The cheapest way to start is a website builder or a simple WordPress site on a ready-made theme, where you write the content yourself. Public price guides put basic sites at around PKR 25,000 to 80,000 when built by a provider. Low-cost sites often need rebuilding later if they are slow or hard to rank.
How much does an ecommerce website cost in Pakistan?+
An ecommerce website in Pakistan ranges from about PKR 60,000 for a small store on a template to several lakh for a custom store with many products, stock management and courier integration. Payment gateway fees and platform subscriptions such as Shopify are extra running costs.
How much does a .pk domain cost?+
PKNIC, the .pk registry, charges Pakistan-based registrants Rs 2,100 per year since 1 August 2026, and registers .pk domains for two years at a time. Registrars add their own margin on top, so the price you pay is usually higher than the registry fee.
How long does it take to build a website?+
A basic business website usually takes one to three weeks once the content is ready. Larger custom sites and online stores take four to eight weeks or more. Waiting for text, photos and feedback is the most common cause of delay.
Are there monthly costs after the website is built?+
Yes. Every website has a yearly domain renewal and hosting fee. Most also need maintenance for updates, backups and security, which public guides put at roughly PKR 1,500 to 10,000 a month. Hosted platforms like Shopify add a monthly subscription.
